Production Tubing Heads - TA type

This tubing head has a bottom and top flange and consists of the production tubing hanger for suspending the production tubing, of the secondary sealing system of the casing, and of clamping bolts and sealing elements used to hold the production tubing hanger in place. The production head’s bore into which the production tubing’s hanger shall be fitted may have a cylindrical or tapered shape. In the case of a cylindrical bore, the production tubing hanger sits on a 45 ° shoulder.

The two side connectors of the production head have API 1 1/2” LP, API 2” LP, or API 2 1/2” LP threads; the connectors are with threaded studs and with sealing rings, depending on the size and pressure rating of the gate valve or of the threaded flange (2 1/16”, 2 9/16” or 3 1/8”). 
In the bottom flange, there is a conical valve and a housing plasticizer through which the secondary sealing element(s) may be plasticized by using „P-seal”. Also in the bottom flange, there is a ball valve used to check the pressure developing inside the sealing ring, to monitor the sealing efficiency in the ring space.
